C. The first course

Laying corners first, then working the perimeter.

Assemble all corners first, then starting at one corner place blocks along the line, butting blocks end to end. Work to the last block before the next corner block. To meet the proper dimensions, this is the block that must be cut. Do not cut the corner block. This block should contain at least two webs after the cut.

Continue the process around the perimeter until the first course is laid. Be sure that cut blocks are taped and tied for extra strength.
