Estimating

Four steps to a block count for a wall layout.

Because Formtech has simplified the process with one form that does everything, estimating is easy. Forget corner panels or specialty forms. Four steps are the key to quick, accurate estimating.

1.  Multiply the length (A) of all walls
    by the height (B) of all walls.
2.  Subtract square footage of all openings (C).
3.  Divide the result by 5.3
    (the number of square feet per block).
4.  The result is the number of blocks required.

This formula does not allow for waste. An overage of between 2 and 5 percent is recommended.
